Adult Ministries

Growth in our Christian faith is to be a life-long process. God calls for us to

“grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ”

2 Peter 3:18

There is no better way to grow in grace and knowledge than to be engaged with Bible studies. Bible studies provide opportunities to dig deep into God’s Word and apply ancient truths to our modern lives. Moreover, Bible studies present attendees with chances to develop new friendships and to have strong support networks.

Living Word provides members and non-members alike weekly opportunities to grow in faith and friendships through multiple Bible studies.

Sunday Morning Studies

Sunday

One of the best opportunities for fellowship and growth in God’s Word is on Sunday mornings directly following worship. Teens are invited to gather for Bible study on the first and third Sundays of each month. On a weekly basis, adults gather in the church for an in-depth look at God’s Word. Currently we are studying the pastoral letters written by the Apostle Paul to Timothy and Titus. Though these letters were written to pastors living 2000 years ago, the applications for modern Christians are plentiful!

men’s Bible Study

Monday’s weekly

A group of men gather on Monday evenings at 7pm at a member’s home to enjoy snacks, fellowship and time exploring and applying God’s Word. Our Fall Bible study (starting the Monday after Labor Day) is focused on sharing our faith with others using simply Bible stories from the four gospel accounts of Jesus’ life, ministry, death and resurrection. This engaging Bible study will help address practical questions and alleviate doubts.

Woman’s Bible Study

Fridays Weekly

Join us at church on Friday mornings (starting September 8) at 10am for coffee, snacks, visiting and a chance to be encouraged by one another and by God’s Word. Our Fall Bible study is based on the book, “God Loves Nobodies – Good News for Somebody Like Me.” Our culture hunts for success in worldly pursuits and achievements. We all have a desire for lasting significance and acceptance. But what if we could redirect our focus on earthly fame and see the way our heavenly Father views us? “You are not just “somebody” – you are a treasured child of your heavenly Father through the redeeming work of Jesus, God’s own Son.

And how can you be certain of your final destination? You are invited to join us for our Starting Point Bible Class where we use the Bible as our guide and compass. Currently this class is offered on Wednesdays at 5:30pm. Please contact Pastor Matt (pastorhennig@gmail.com) if you would like to attend or for more details.
